The Sonoma Wiki Project is an effort to bring together a community of individuals willing to contribute to the development of a set of wikis that record all the information we can capture about the county and its regions, communities and cities. The project was initiated by Chip Roberson and Wired Sonoma.

Jim Shere summed up our objective quite well: a wiki is not an organization as such but rather a means to place information (written and graphic material) in the public domain, by anyone, in such a way that it is easily accessed by everyone, much in the same manner as Wikipedia.

The object is create a cadre of wiki contributors to develop and maintain the following wikis and hopefully more:
